China has strongly criticized the United States for imposing a blockade on Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz, calling the move dangerous and warning it could escalate tensions across the Middle East. The blockade, which began Monday, aims to pressure Iran after recent peace talks failed, but China says it risks weakening an already fragile ceasefire and disrupting global oil supply chains. As the largest buyer of Iranian crude, China is concerned about the economic impact and has urged all parties to return to dialogue, maintain peace efforts, and restore normal shipping operations in the key waterway. Meanwhile, global oil prices dipped below $100 per barrel amid hopes of a diplomatic resolution, reflecting cautious optimism in energy markets despite the ongoing geopolitical tensions.
